Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. She is the oldest child in a family of four. Her parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was more than enough to thwart her initial desire to become the first primatologist. It was a quick rise in her career to become a well-known young actress. Her career began in earnest in 1999, after which she began acting professionally. Following her studies Tautou participated in the French TV show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris when she was a kid and enrolled in the school at an early age but has sworn off her Catholic upbringing. She now claims to be a non-Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers have been interspersed. She became the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Her photography is also a passion and she recently exhibited her work in the Arles festival, under the title Superficial. Through her photography, she is mainly focused on celebrities and fame. The camera is turned on journalists who examined her as she rose to fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades at award ceremonies around all over the world. It is the most successful French language film to be released in the US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou went on to star in a variety of films, which included British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
